Amazon to launch virtual healthcare services platform

Amazon has announced the inauguration of its virtual health service platform, named Amazon Clinic, that is aimed at providing care for 20 common diseases like acne, dandruff, heartburn, etc. The telehealth platform will let the patients determine their disease from the list and then allow them to choose a licenced third-party physician.

Within hours after the first request, clients and outside therapists immediately communicate via a message-based gateway after completing a brief intake form. According to the website, video visits or live chats are not mandatory.
