DASH diet may ace at reducing risk of heart attack

One in every three 30–79-year-olds suffer from hypertension, i.e., high blood pressure, and according to a study, the DASH diet is one of the most effective interventions to reduce heart attack risk in patients with mild hypertension. A report presented at the American Heart Association’s Hypertension Scientific Sessions 2022 shows that the DASH diet will prevent 15,000 cases of men and 11,000 cases of women in the US. This diet is the most effective way to maintain healthy blood pressure for people at the initial stages of hypertension.
