Experts believe food is medicine after inflation affects health

Catholic Health embarks on the journey of identifying food insecure people, as the healthcare industry sees an increase in diseases because of food insecurity. The world is observing a major economic decline and as a result of debilitating inflation, getting healthy food on the table is a major concern for more than 30 million people in the US. Catholic Health has teamed up with Island Harvest Food Bank and nutrition graduates from Adelphi University to increase food security and push individuals into making informed choices regarding healthy food. The objective is to reduce the doctor visits of patients, improve quality of life, and lower costs for healthcare system.
