GE Healthcare has partnered with Nex Cubed to devise a programme, named Edison Accelerator, to accelerate, expand, and validate innovative solution in order to address challenges faced by the healthcare industry. This programme has been designed in Canada and currently six digital health-focused start-ups from five countries have come forward as initial supporters of this initiative, all of which are AI-focused. The AI is specifically implemented to augment medical imaging. The purpose of this programme is to offer better patient care and reduce burnout, thereby giving physicians more time to spend with patients.
