Haleon and Microsoft partner to launch AI-based application for blind or partially sighted individuals

Microsoft Corp. and Haleon, a market leader in consumer health, have launched a new partnership to improve access to daily health for those who are blind, have limited vision, or have trouble reading descriptions of products owing to limited education. This new application called Seeing AI will enable people to take control of their own health care with the improved capability of allowing them to listen to label information. Together, the businesses are enhancing capabilities in the Microsoft Seeing AI app to give customers in the U.S. and U.K. more thorough labelling information for more than 1,500 Haleon items. A free smartphone app called Seeing AI is designed to assist those who have vision problems by explaining their surroundings.
