National Robotarium demonstrated robotics’ potential to decrease staff burnout

The National Robotarium teamed up with NHS Grampian Innovation Hub to organise an event named “Beyond Surgery: Robotic Assistance in the Workplace”. At the event, scientists, investors, with medical professionals explored the ways that robotics and intelligent autonomous technology can improve the efficiency of NSH Scotland. The healthcare industry is rapidly implementing robotics for critical activities such as surgeries. However, the director of strategy and deputy chief executive of NHS Grampian, Adam ColdWells, says the deployment of robots can enhance other areas. At the event, robots performing interesting activities, such as meal plating, cleaning, dispensing controlled drugs, etc., could be seen. The Business Development Manager at National Robotarium reported they are focused on launching similar AI and robotics-focused technologies that can better the lives of dedicated staff at the NHS.
