Novartis, NYU, and Microsoft join hands to launch AI-powered Heart Health Equity Network

The Novartis Foundation, New York University (NYU) School of Global Public Health, and Microsoft AI for Health have collaborated and launched the AI4HealthyCities Health Equity Network. The platform is an AI-powered network that will employ data analytics to address heart health inequities. With the increase of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs)—one of the leading causes of which is living conditions—in urban settings such as New York City, people are more prone to acquiring life-threatening CVDs. Therefore, the purpose of AI4HealthyCities is to analyse the available data churned from environmental, economic, or social determinants of population health to be further used by stakeholders. These insights will help policymakers take initiatives to promote and improve heart health inequities.
