Individualised Diet Improvement Programme (iDip), a programme that allows people to create personal plans based on levels of proteins and fibres shows promising results for people wanting to shed extra fat. The programme has been developed at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign by nutritionists and is a self-guided approach employing simple tools. iDip’s does not aim to offer a strict plan that eliminates food groups. The goal is to help people in making informed decisions regarding their diets. The researchers were able to collect data, however small, that could substantiate their thesis and the feasibility of their diet programme.
