The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is urging to explore long-term solutions, as the infant formula shortage increases, to combat infant hunger or malnutrition. The academy is off to support a bill that will provide more breast-feeding opportunities to mothers in the workplace. The academy says that lactating-working parents should identify the best solution to this shortage so as to reduce food insecurity. The organisation intends to have a bill passed that will allow mothers in the workplace to be able to express milk for their infants.
